BYD, a Chinese automaker, has become the world's largest seller of electric vehicles, overtaking Tesla. They have achieved this by offering various electric car models at affordable prices and having a reliable battery and charging system in China. Now they are entering the luxury car market.

Their new ultra-luxury brand called Yangwang introduces three models: the U8 off-road vehicle, the U9 supercar and the U7 luxury sedan. The price of the U9 in China is around CNY 1,680,000 (approximately RM1.1 million). The U9 impresses with its impressive speed: it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds and reaches a top speed of 309 km/h. This speed exceeds that of many famous sports cars such as Ferrari and Bugatti.

Equipped with four motors, one for each wheel, the U9 delivers a total power of 1,306 hp and a torque of 1,680 Nm. It can travel up to 465 km on a single charge and quickly charges from 30% to 80% in just 10 minutes. Additionally, the U9 features a unique suspension system that allows it to roll, jump and even dance on three wheels.

Visually, the U9 is characterized by dynamic lines, gullwing doors and striking headlights and taillights. It rides on large 21-inch wheels equipped with high-performance tires and brakes. Inside, there is a luxurious center console, a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen, ambient lighting, a premium audio system and soft seats for maximum comfort.
